First baseman Sean Claugherty (Oakdale, Minn./Tartan HS) had only one hit in the game but the sophomore made it count banging out a solo homerun, his second homer of the season.

St. Scholastica jumped out quickly on the Blue Jays, scoring one run in the bottom of the first then plating three more in the bottom of the second to give Gaub a nice 4-run cushion.

Elizabethtown picked up a run in the third, two more in the fourth, then another in the fifth but St. Scholastica scored four runs over the fourth, fifth, and sixth innings to maintain their lead and eventually deal Elizabethtown (3-1) their first loss of the season.
