St. Scholastica, playing their fifth match in five days, finally ran out of steam on Friday morning in Orlando, falling to Saint Mary's (Ind.) College by a 7-2 score.

The Saints record falls to 7-4 with the loss while the Belles improve to 4-2.

Casey Ruberto (Thunder Bay, Ont./Hammarskjold HS) and Katrina Sacchetti (Virginia, Minn./Virginia Secondary) were able to pick up a point in doubles with their 9-7 win at No. 2 but Saint Mary's won the two remaining matches to take a 2-1 lead into singles play.

Sacchetti, adding her second win of the day, defeated Jessica Kosinski at No. 4 singles for the only other Saints point in the loss.

St. Scholastica closes out their spring trip with a 3-2 record after opening with wins over Misericordia (Pa.), King's (Pa.), and St. Ambrose (Iowa), before falling to a regionally-ranked Methodist (N.C.) squad and then Saint Mary's.
