The Knights and Saints got together for a battle on Friday night and it was the home team from Carleton College that speared St. Scholastica with a 7-2 victory.
Alex Rogers (Rochester, Minn./Century HS) at No. 6 singles and the No. 3 doubles team of Will Ruckel (Anoka, Minn./Anoka Senior HS) and Ryan LaCoursiere (Thief River Falls, Minn./Lincoln HS) were the lone winners for St. Scholastica (1-3).
Rogers rallied back from a 1-6 opening set loss to grab the second set 6-4 to even the match up. He went on to victory with a 10-7 win in the super tie-breaker third set.
Ruckel and LaCoursiere captured their doubles match by an 8-5 score.
Carleton improved their unbeaten record in 2008 to 3-0 with the victory.
