The St. Scholastica women's Nordic team had their best finish in the Classic technique this season with Sunday's 7th place on the trails at Giant's Ridge in Biwabik, Minn.

Megan Holmes (Gilbert, Minn./Mesabi East HS) led the women again with a 24th place at the NCAA/CCSA Regional finishing the 10-kilometer course in 37 minutes, 18.0 seconds. The sophomore also led the women on Saturday in the Freestyle discipline.

Freshman Julia Curry (Woodbury, Minn./Woodbury HS) had one of her best Classic races of the year, clocking a 38:00.7 and crossing the finish in 28th place. Fellow newcomer Lindsay Wallis (Woodbury, Minn./Woodbury HS) was 31st in 38:12.9 to round out the scoring places for the Saints.

The women's 7th place in both Freestyle and Classic placed them 7th overall in the two-day combined scoring, their highest finish ever.

Northern Michigan's 166 points led the weekend with Gustavus Adolphus in second with 146. The Saints accumulated 64 points and finished ahead of St. Olaf, St. Cloud State, and Northland College.
