St. Scholastica didn't have long to recover after a loss earlier in the day to Augustana (Ill.) College, but maybe that worked in their favor.
With little time to dwell on the defeat the Saints stepped back on the courts in Green Bay, Wis., and rolled over a host St. Norbert College squad, routing the Green Knights by an 8-1 score for their second win of the season.
St. Scholastica's doubles teams set the team off on the right foot sweeping all three matches.
Scott Hawley (Eveleth, Minn./Eveleth-Gilbert HS) and Brendan Anderson (Plymouth, Minn./Wayzata HS) took the No. 1 flight with an 8-5 win, Nemanja Radosevic (New Belgrade, Serbia/Duluth Central HS) and Peter Sparby (North Oaks, Minn./Mounds View HS) won 8-6 at No. 2, and the No. 3 tandem of Ryan LaCoursiere (Thief River Falls, Minn./Lincoln HS) and Will Ruckel (Anoka, Minn./Anoka Senior HS) rolled to a a quick 8-2 win.
Sterle at No. 1, Radosevic at No. 3, and LaCoursiere at No. 5 each won in straight sets.
Alex Rogers (Rochester, Minn./Century HS) had a three-set battle on his hands with St. Norbert's Ryan Lobeck but after dropping the first set came back to win the next two for the victory at No. 6 singles.
Ruckel took No. 5 singles 8-6 in an abbreviated and modified contest after the match's final result had already been decided.
