DULUTH, Minn. – With the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) Tournament Championship on the line, the St. Scholastica men's soccer team fell to the University of Minnesota-Morris Cougars by a score of 1-0 on a snowy Saints Field on Saturday afternoon.

The Cougars' Patrick O'Conner scored the lone goal of the game in the 10th minute, an unassisted tally, on a bounding ball booted from about 30 yards out.

The Cougars finished with nine shots, four aimed on target, while the Saints managed seven shots and just one target. Forward #Rob Miller# (Jr.-Duluth, Minn./East HS) led the Saints with two shots.

Despite taking the loss in goal, goalkeeper #Sam Reed# (Fr.-Eastbourne, England/Causeway School) kept his team in it making three key saves. Goalkeeper Tyler Weber made one save to secure the win for the Cougars.

The Saints finish their season with a 15-5-2 overall record, still holding on to a slim chance of getting an at-large bid to the NCAA Division III Tournament. The 58-team field will be announced at approximately 9 p.m. local time Sunday night. The pairings and the first and second round sites will be announced at approximately 8 a.m. on Monday.
