ST. PAUL, Minn. – The College of St. Scholastica women's soccer team earned their tenth straight victory by defeating the Northwestern College Eagles by a score of 4-0 this afternoon.
The Saints' all-time leading scorer #Robin Johnson# (Sr.-Duluth, Minn./Marshall School) opened up with a goal in the first 15 minutes to put the Saints on the board, with an assist from #Jen Krokum# (Jr.-Duluth, Minn./East HS).
#Sarah Bartlette# (Jr.-East Grand Forks, Minn./Shattuck-St. Mary's) would add an unassied tally for the Saints in the first half with her seventh goal of the season.
The Saints had eight shots, including six on net in the first half while allowing only one shot from the Eagles.
The second half was a bit closer for offense, with the Saints taking six shots (four on target) and the Eagles taking five (one on target), but the Saints continued to add to their lead as #Angie Groh# (Jr.-Andover, Minn./St. Francis HS) and #Kristen Stangel# (Sr.-Grand Rapids, Minn.) each had a goal and an assist in the second frame.
#Erin Olejnicak# (Fr.-Brainerd, Minn.) had one save to preserve her fourth career shutout for the Saints.
