MEN'S CROSS COUNTRY RUNS FOURTH AT PINE HILL INVITE

CARLTON, Minn. – The St. Scholastica men's cross country team placed fourth today out of seven teams with 112 points at the Pine Hill Invitational hosted by the University of Minnesota-Duluth at Pine Hill Golf Course.

#Jake Turman# (Sr.-Duluth, Minn./Central) finished eighth overall out of 148 runners with a time of 27:04. The time is a personal record for Turman by seven seconds. In fact, seven Saints set personal records on the day. #Tony Bye# (Fr.-Chippewa Falls, Wis./McDonell) finished 22nd overall with a time of 28:27. #Pat Bigaouette# (Fr.-Chaska, Minn.) set a personal record with a time of 28:32 to finish 27th. Jake, Tony, and Pat will compete at the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh Invitational next weekend.

#Kyle Smith# (Sr.-Wight, Minn./Cromwell-Wright) was 39th with a personal best of 29:14. #John Bradshaw# (Jr.-Duluth, Minn./Central) was 41st overall with a time of 29:32, which is also a personal record.

The host, UM-Duluth, won the meet with 29 points. Minnesota State-Moorhead was second with 50 points. University of Mary was third with 73 points and the University of Wisconsin-Superior was fifth behind the Saints with 113 points.

The Saints will be in action next Saturday at both the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh Invitational and the Crown College Invitational. The Oshkosh invite begins at 10:15 a.m., while the Crown Invite begins at 11 a.m.
