The St. Scholastica women finished their 2007 season with an 18th place finish at the NCAA Division III Central Regional on a chilly Saturday morning in Northfield, Minn.
Freshmen Julia Curry (Woodbury, Minn./Woodbury HS) and Jessie Lovering (Bemidji, Minn./Bemidji HS) led the Saints through the 6-kilomoter course on the campus of St. Olaf College. Curry finished 18th of 160 runners with a time of 23:05 while Lovering was 86th in 24:28.
Sophomore Tara Connolly (River Falls, Wis./River Falls HS) set a personal best for a 6K race, cutting 40 seconds off her previous mark for a 92nd place time of 24:34.
Maggie Kading (Park Rapids, Minn./Park Rapids Area HS)'s personal best of 26:15 (138th) and Amelia Donars (Ely, Minn./Ely Memorial HS)' best of 26:33 (140th) rounded out the scoring positions for the Saints.
Luther (Iowa) College took the top spot at the Regional with 87 points, followed by Nebraska Wesleyan Univeristy's 118 points in the runner-up position. The Saints totaled 472 points while Martin Luther College, the only other school from the UMAC competing at the Regional, finished with 760 points in 23rd place.
