EARLY GOAL SETS PACE FOR SAINTS IN WIN OVER KNIGHTS

Box Score
Toby Peter (Spalt, Germany/J.S. Bach Gymnasium)'s goal only 49 seconds into Friday morning's conference game against visiting Martin Luther College set the tone for the Saints as they pounded out a 6-0 win over the Knights on the turf at Public Schools Stadium.

St. Scholastica (12-2-0, 10-0-0 UMAC) scored three more times in the first half on an overmatched Martin Luther (3-10-1, 2-8-0 UMAC) squad, then twice more in the second half for the final six-goal margin.

Peter, Cody Sveiven (Coon Rapids, Minn./Coon Rapids HS), and Andrew Ndekwe (Minneapolis, Minn./Minneapolis South HS) each tallied two goals apiece for the Saints. Both Robbie Miller and Jimmy Atol picked up two assists.

Saints keeper Andrew Whitehead needed to only make four saves in the contest and picked up his eighth shutout of the season.

Friday's victory gave the Saints a sweep of the season series with Martin Luther. St. Scholastica will try to complete the sweep against Bethany Lutheran College on Saturday with an 8:30 a.m. game at PSS.
