Julia Maier is this week's Saints Performer of the Week as she competed at the ITA Midwest Regional tournament, going 2-1 this past weekend and finishing in the top 16 out of 128 players. Maier was seeded 5th, a career-high seed, and opened with a bye and then beat a Concordia-Wis. player 6-4, 7-6(3), and a foe from Gustavus 6-2, 7-6(5) in the third round. Maier advanced to the round of 16 before losing in a close match to the number 10 seed Irene Agusti of Grinnell College 6-4, 6-3. This was Maier’s best finish at the tournament in her career.
