Track & Field's Trent Beseth is this week’s Toppers Pizza Male Performer of the Week.

Beseth placed first in both the shot put and discus throw at the St. Olaf Ole Open on 5/6. The sophomore also broke the school record in the shot put with a throw of 15.28m (50-1.75ft) which catapulted him over Jeremey Peterson's previous record of 14.94m (49-0.25), set back in 2015. Beseth's mark also puts him atop the MIAC performance list in the shot put and discus throw, where he ranks 30th nationally in discus and 46th in the shot put event. Beseth first place discus throw of 48.30m (158-05ft) is also the second best all-time for a St. Scholastica thrower.
