Track & Field’s Derek Douglas is this week’s Toppers Pizza Male Performer of the Week. At the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) Championships over the weekend, Douglas was part of two program-record relay teams. On Friday, he led off the 4x800m relay team that ultimately broke a 14-year program record with a time of 7:52.02. Then on Saturday, Douglas anchored the 4x400m relay team that set a program record with a time of 3:24.51. Douglas also recorded season-best times in both the prelims and the finals of the 800m run, finishing fifth in the finals with a time of 1:57.38, which ranks fifth-fastest in program history.
