Track & Field’s Calvin Boone is this week’s Toppers Pizza Male Performer of the Week. At Friday night’s Mark Miller Invitational, Boone won the 1,000m run with a program time of 2:29.53. It was the first time Boone competed in the event collegiately and the fourth different event he was won this season (800m, 1,000m, mile, 3,000m). It was also the third different event he set a program record in this indoor season. He beat the previous 1,000m record by 1.2 seconds, which had stood for 13 years.
