Tennis’ Julia Maier is this week’s Toppers Pizza Female Performer of the Week. Maier led the Saints to its first 2-0 start since the 2017 season over the weekend. Maier won her No. 1 singles match vs. NCAA Division II University of Minnesota Duluth on Friday in a super-breaker 6-4, 3-6, (10-3). She then won both of her Sunday matches at St. Norbert College (Wis.) with a No. 1 doubles win by an 8-1 margin and a No. 1 singles victory by scores of 6-1, 6-0. Maier has won five straight No. 1 singles matches in dual play dating back to last season.
