Baseball's Kyle Flagstad is this week's Male Performer of the Week. On Wednesday night, he recorded a single-game program record with six hits, going 6-for-6 in a 17-4 defeat of Northland College. Flagstad hit a triple, double, and single in succession, but did not get the home run to complete the cycle. He also drove in three runs, stole two bases, and scored four times in the victory. In his next game on Friday against Northwestern College, Flagstad continued to swing a hot stick, going 3-for-4 with a triple, three RBIs and three runs scored. The next day against the Eagles, Flagstad was 2-for-4 wtih a pair of doubles and a run scored in game one of a doubleheader. In that three-game stretch, he went 11-for-14 and raised his batting average by 80 points from .349 on Tuesday to .429 on Saturday.
