csssaints.com) – The St. Scholastica track and field team had three men and six women compete on Friday in the first of the last chance meets at the Eagle Open, hosted by the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse.
Another Win for Gibson in the 800m
Taylor Gibson (La Crescent, Minn./La Crescent HS) won the 800m run with a time of 2:15.23. However, she was not able to better her time in the event.
Top Performances
Elizabeth Poskie (Cotton, Minn./South Ridge HS) finished runner-up in the 5,000m run, posting a season-best time of 19:29.27.
Easton Foss (Pine City, Minn./Pine City HS) placed third in the 3,000m steeplechase with a time of 9:48.43.
Jacob Gallagher (Lisbon, N.D./Lisbon HS) was fifth in the men's 5,000m run, finishing in a personal-best time of 15:18.04.
Frank Cerar (Plainview, Minn./Plainview-Elgin-Millville HS) was ninth in the 110m hurdles with a season-best time of 16.45.
Breanna Shofner (International Falls, Minn./Falls HS) set a personal-best mark in the triple jump at 33'2" (10.11m).

The Saints will send a few athletes to the Gregory Invitational on Wednesday and Thursday, hosted by North Central College. CSS will also have a few throwers compete at the UW-La Crosse Qualifier next Thursday to complete the last chance meets.
