csssaints.com) – The St. Scholastica women's track & field team had a pair of top five finishes at Saturday's Ashton May Invitational, hosted by the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse.
Top Performances
Taylor Gibson (La Crescent, Minn./La Crescent HS) was runner-up in the 800m run with a time of 2:17.99. That is a personal-best outdoor time for the second straight meet.
Natalie St. Marie (St. Francis, Minn./St. Francis HS) was fifth in the hammer throw with a mark of 154"1" (46.98m).
Hannah Russert (Caledonia, Minn./Caledonia HS ) was seventh in the 100m hurdles, finishing in 15.12.
Elizabeth Poskie (Cotton, Minn./South Ridge HS) was ninth in the 5000m run, posting a time of 19:38.11.
The 4x400m relay team of
Mel Aviñon (San Martin de los Andes, Argentina, Ontario Hockey Academy),
Jacqueline Kaplan (Elysian, Minn./Waterville-Elysian-Morristown HS),
Breanna Shofner (International Falls, Minn./Falls HS) and Gibson was eighth in a time of 4:09.90.
Brittany Ludwig (Alexandria, Minn./Jefferson HS) was 12
th in the discus throw with a toss of 119'1" (36.30m).
Emily Conley (Marinette, Wis./Marinette HS) was 15
th in that event with a mark of 109'9" (33.45m). Both Ludwig and Conley also had PRs in the hammer throw.
Shofner was 18
th in the triple jump with a mark of 33'3" (10.13m).
