Amy Campbell (Cloquet, Minn./Cloquet HS) broke the program record in the 400m hurdles and the St. Scholastica women's track & field team won three events on Saturday at the Holst Invitational, hosted by Concordia University-St. Paul.
Record BreakersCampbell broke a program record in the 400m hurdles with a time of 1:04.46 to win the event. The record had stood since 2009.
WinnersBrianna Buske (Bloomer, Wis./Bloomer HS) won her first event of the outdoor season, taking the 800m run with a time of 2:17.53. The 4x400m relay team of Buske,
Emily Lundgren (Aitkin, Minn./Aitkin HS),
Andrea Mogren (Forest Lake, Minn./Forest Lake HS) and Campbell won with a meet and facility record time of 4:03.64.
Top FinishersJordan Johnson (Poplar, Wis./Northwestern HS) was runner-up in the 5,000m run, posting a time of 19:20.72.
Molly Burgstahler (Sandpoint, Idaho/Sandpoint HS) was fourth in that event.
Nicole Christianson (Coon Rapids, Minn./Coon Rapids HS) cleared 5'5.75" (1.67m) to finish second, but the top NCAA Division III finisher, in the high jump.
The 4x100m relay team of
Sammi Argir (Chisholm, Minn./Hibbing HS),
Breanna Shofner (International Falls, Minn./Falls HS),
Mady Urman (Alexandria, Minn./Jefferson HS) and
Jodi Sila (Cameron, Wis./Cameron HS) were second finishing in 50.48.
Argir was also third in the 200m dash with a time of 25.96.
Hailey Fentem (International Falls, Minn./Falls HS) was third and the top collegiate finisher in the 100m hurdles, finishing in 16.27.
Katharine Roetering (Maple Grove, Minn./Maple Grove HS) was third in the triple jump with a mark of 32'0.25" (9.76m).
Casey Hovland (North Branch, Minn./North Branch HS) was fourth in the 3,000m steeplechase with a time of 12:15.08. Mogren was fifth in the 800m run with a personal-best time of 2:24.00.
Up NextSome members will head down to Iowa for the Drake Relays starting on Thursday and also compete at the Kip Janvrin Open on Friday, while others will compete at the Saint Mary's Open on Saturday in Winona.
