WOMEN’S HOCKEY RECRUITS: LOCAL PRODUCTS

DULUTH, Minn. – In what may be our last look at the inaugural women's hockey recruiting class we take a glance at two local forwards that will be sticking around the Duluth area.

Frankie Bergman (Duluth, Minn./Duluth Denfeld HS (Duluth Northern Stars)) attended high school at Duluth Denfeld and played for the Duluth Northern Stars. Bergman was a captain on the Northern Stars and in 22 games last season she recorded 11 goals and two assists.

Steph Strapple attended Proctor High School and played for the Proctor/Hermantown/Marshall Mirage. In 27 games last season, Strapple netted 16 goals and added 16 assists as the Mirage earned their first-ever trip to the Minnesota State High School League State Tournament.

The Saints open their inaugural season on Friday, November 5th at the newly-remodeled Mars Lakeview Arena against Augsburg College.
