LA CROSSE, Wis. – For the second straight meet, the St. Scholastica women's 4x400-meter relay team set a school record, just missing a NCAA Division III provisional qualifying mark by less than a second at Friday night's Eagle Open, hosted by the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse.

The 4x400-meter team, consisting of #Stacey Peterson# (Sr.-Gilbert, Minn./Eveleth-Gilbert), #Hallie Miller# (Fr.-Cologne, Minn./Waconia), #Nikki Hughes# (So.-South Range, Wis./Northwestern), and #Jennifer Plaetz# (So.-Lucan, Minn./Wabasso) ran a school-record time of 3:57.45 seconds. The provisional qualifying mark is 3:56.60 seconds.

#Rachel Miller# (Fr.-Hinckley, Minn./Hinckley-Finlayson) was third in the triple jump with a leap of 36'-2.25” (11.03m). She was also third in the javelin throw with a distance of 95'-2” (29.00m).

#Katie Walrath# (So.-Thief River Falls, Minn.) was eighth in the 200-meter dash with a time of 27.55 seconds. #Stacey Gustafson# (Fr.-Merrifield, Minn./Crosby-Ironton) was also eighth in the 1,500-meter run, posting a time of 5:17.36 seconds.

The Saints will compete at the Winona Open tomorrow.
