CSS Women break three school records

WINONA, Minn. – In its second-to-last meet of the year, the St. Scholastica track & field team broke three school records, all on the women's side, at Saturday's Winona Open.

#Nikki Hughes# (So.-South Range, Wis./Northwestern) broke her own school record in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:15.12 seconds. The NCAA Division III provisional qualifying mark is 2:15.00 seconds.

#Stacey Peterson# (Sr.-Gilbert, Minn./Eveleth-Gilbert) also broke her own school record in the 400-meter dash with a time of 58.74 seconds. #Rachel Miller# (Fr.-Hinckley, Minn./Hinckley-Finlayson) broke the final school record on the night in the javelin with a toss of 108'-9” (33.14m).

On the men's side, #Shane Dombrovski# (Fr.-Foley, Minn.) and #Peter Drinkwine# (Fr.-Superior, Wis.) were third and fourth, respectively, in the triple jump. Dombrovski had a distance of 42'-4.25” (12.91m) and Drinkwine had a distance of 41'-8” (12.70m). #Josh Ditsworth# (Jr.-North Branch, Minn.) was eighth in the hammer throw with a toss of 147'-3” (44.89m).

The Saints will be back in La Crosse, Wis. on Thursday to compete in the Last Chance Qualifier.
