CSS RUNNERS COMPETE AT OSHKOSH

All three men run personal best times

OSHKOSH, Wis. – The St. Scholastica men's and women's cross country teams had six runners compete at the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh Brooks Invitational today. 

#Pat Bigaouette# (So.-Chaska, Minn.), #Nick Mangan# (Jr.-Baxter, Minn./Brainerd), and #Tony Bye# (So.-Chippewa Falls, Wis./McDonell) ran for the guys, while #Katelyn Meger# (Sr.-Webster, Minn./New Prague), #Jessie Lovering# (Jr.-Bemidji, Minn.), and #Kristen Gronbeck# (Fr.-Battle Lake, Minn.) ran for the women. 

The men had a very good day with all three setting personal records and it was the first time in program history that CSS had three men run a time under 27 minutes in the same meet. Bigaouette finished 169th overall out of 500-plus runners with a time of 26:25 seconds. Mangan was 204th overall with a time of 26:39 seconds. Bye was 222nd overall with a time of 26:45 seconds. Those times are second, fourth, and fifth on CSS's all-time list. 

For the women, Katelyn Meger (Webster, Minn./New Prague HS) was 22nd overall with a season-best time of 22:12 seconds. Meger was just 16 seconds off of her nationals time last season. Jessie Lovering (Bemidji, Minn./Bemidji HS) was 98th overall with a season-best time of 23:17 seconds. Finally, Kristen Gronbeck (Battle Lake, Minn./Battle Lake HS) was 186th overall with a personal-best time of 24:16 seconds. 

The Saints have next weekend off and will be in action next at the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) Championship meet, hosted by Crown College in St. Bonifacius, Minn. The meet is set to begin at noon on Saturday, October 31st.
