DULUTH, Minn. (csssaints.com) – The St. Scholastica women's track & field team broke three program records on Friday and Saturday as some competed at Grand Valley State (Mich.), while others were at UW-La Crosse.

Grand Valley State Second to Last Chance Meet
On Friday at the Grand Valley State Second to Last Chance Meet, Becky Huberty (Lena, Wis./Lena HS) broke her own program record in the shot put with a mark of 44'0.75” (13.43m) to finish second. That is currently ranked 19th in NCAA Division III. She also moved up the national list in the hammer throw with a toss of 167'9” (51.13m) and is ranked 14th nationally in that event.

Nicole Christianson (Coon Rapids, Minn./Coon Rapids HS) broke the program record in the high jump clearing 5'4.5” (1.64m) to finish second in that event. Brittany Ludwig (Alexandria, Minn./Jefferson HS) was seventh in discus throw with a mark of 126'0” (38.42m).

Eagle Open
Friday evening at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse Eagle Open, Amy Campbell (Cloquet, Minn./Cloquet HS) was fourth in the 400m hurdles with a time of 1:06.40. The 4x400m relay team of Emily Lundgren (Aitkin, Minn./Aitkin HS), Laurel Ohaju (Duluth, Minn./Duluth Central HS), Brianna Buske (Bloomer, Wis./Bloomer HS) and Maggie Kurtovich (Andover, Minn./Andover HS) was also fourth with a time of 4:02.23.

Rachel Miller (Hinckley, Minn./Hinckley-Finlayson HS) was fifth in the triple jump with a mark of 36'7.5” (11.16m). Danielle Dickson (Roseville, Minn./Totino Grace HS/Roseville HS) was fifth in the long jump with a leap of 17'1.5” (5.22m).

Grand Valley State Last Chance Meet
On a cooler and wetter day on Saturday at Grand Valley State, Ludwig broke her own program record placing fifth in the discus at 130'10” (39.89m). Huberty placed third in the shot put with a mark of 42'11.75” (13.10m). She also finished ninth in the hammer throw at 162'7” (49.55m). Christianson was fourth in the high jump, clearing 5'3” (1.60m).

The Saints will have a couple more last chance meets next week as Tracy Perish (Browerville, Minn./Browerville HS) and Emily Schwantke (Brook Park, Minn./Hinckley-Finlayson HS) will be at the Gregory Multi at North Central College (Ill.) on Tuesday and Wednesday, while the rest will be back in La Crosse for the UW-La Crosse Qualifier on Thursday.
